Today, February 14, the youth from the Municipal Youth Parliament - Blagoevgrad at the Center for Youth and Social Development - CLTRDB held the event "Tradition Hand in Hand with Love", which combined a festive atmosphere, a cultural program and socially beneficial initiatives. Traditionally, the event is held in partnership with the Regional Health Institute - Blagoevgrad in the person of Ms. Bianca Ravnachka, Head of the Department "Disease Prevention and Health Promotion".
During the day, the Youth Parliament had opportunity to:
- Take a tour of the city's institutions with a focus on traditions and culture;
- To promote free and anonymous testing for various diseases in front of Largo Mall;
- To tell the residents of Blagoevgrad about today's holiday;
- In honor of the holiday of Tryphon Zarezan, as tradition dictates, the so-called cutting of vine branches took place as a sign of fertility and prosperity, and the following institutions were visited: The Director of the Regional Health Institute- Blagoevgrad, Dr. Kaloyan Kaloyanov, Blagoevgrad Municipality and Mayor Metodi Baykushev, the Chairperson of the Municipal Council of Blagoevgrad, Ms. Antoaneta Bogdanova, the Regional Governor of Blagoevgrad District, Mr. Georgi Dinev, the Regional Educational and Cultural Organization- Blagoevgrad and its head, Mr. Ivaylo Zlatanov, the Center for Personal and Creative Development of Children of Blagoevgrad and its deputy director, Dr. Alexandra Kovacheva, the Mobile Center for Testing for AIDS, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and Syphilis in front of the Largo Mall.
The event was organized by the Municipal Youth Parliament - Blagoevgrad at the Center for Personal and Creative Development of Children of Blagoevgrad and RZI - Blagoevgrad. We thank everyone who participated and made the holiday even more special!
