On May 26 and 27, 2023, the III Folklore Children's Festival "Colorful Flower" will be held in Blagoevgrad, organized by the Central Children's Center for the Development of the Bulgarian Culture and the Municipality of Blagoevgrad. Over 1,000 children and students will take to the big stage at Georgi Izmirliev Square over two days. The festival starts at 9:30 a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The festival aims to promote <\/a>the folklore wealth of Bulgaria, to provide an opportunity for children and young talents to express themselves, who will exchange knowledge and experience in the field of musical and dance folklore art on one stage in the separate categories - folk singing, folk dancing, folk instruments. In addition to all kindergartens from Blagoevgrad, schools from the Central Center for the Development of the Republic of Bulgaria, the Sheltered Housing "Sunny House", schools, community centers, schools and ensembles from Blagoevgrad, Kresna, Simitli, Razlog, Bobovdol, Kocherinovo, Bel Kamen, Gorno Draglishte, Momchilgrad will participate. This year, the festival will also have international participation from the Republic of North Macedonia, with the participation of the Folklore Ensemble "Lyubcho Santov" - Kochani.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The festival is not competitive, but participants and their leaders will nevertheless be encouraged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
