Today, November 28, in front of the Largo Mall in Blagoevgrad, the information campaign \u201cAre you ready for winter?\u201d was held, organized by the Municipal Youth Parliament at the Center for Youth and Sports Development-CLTRDB in partnership with students from the First Secondary School \u201cPencho Slaveykov\u201d, Sofia. The event was supported by the State Agency for Road Safety and aimed to inform citizens about the importance of preparing for winter conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The youth distributed information materials, reminding about the key measures that every driver and pedestrian should take for their safety in winter. Citizens showed great interest in the information provided, which covered topics such as vehicle preparation, proper behavior on slippery surfaces, and tips for responding to emergency situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Young journalists in support of the initiative<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Young journalists from the School of Journalism at the Central Youth Council of the Republic of Bulgaria were also present, not only covering the event but also actively supporting the initiative of the Municipal Youth Parliament. They spoke with the organizers, participants and citizens to learn more about the impact of the campaign and the need to raise awareness about winter safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visit to the Municipality<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the campaign in front of the Largo Mall, the youth also visited the Blagoevgrad Municipality building, where they met with the mayor of the municipality, Mr. Metodi Baykushev. They provided him with information materials prepared as part of the campaign and discussed the importance of such initiatives for raising public awareness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What did the organizers share?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis campaign is our way of contributing to people's safety during the winter. We are glad that we were able to reach so many citizens and that we had the opportunity to meet with the mayor of the city, who expressed his support for our initiatives,\u201d shared the youth from the Municipal Youth Parliament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is just the first in a series of initiatives planned for November and December aimed at informing and preventing. Expect more events where young people will continue to work for a safer community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
