Yes, Halloween is not a Bulgarian holiday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yes, tomorrow is the Day of the People's Awakeners - the real, our, national holiday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And yes, we celebrate both.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Without fear, without complexes, without opposition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sometimes the strongest position is balance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What did Halloween bring to our children?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Laughter and emotions<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Sharing, teamwork and the courage to speak up<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Unloading at the end of a busy month<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 A chance to be children. Just children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That's the point. Not witches, not myths, not "importing foreign culture," but childish joy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While some argue "can" or "can't", we do the most valuable thing - we give the gift of happy memories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And tomorrow?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tomorrow we will give what is needed to the people who awaken the spirit of Bulgaria - the awakeners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With words, respect, value, meaning. As always.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Day of the National Awakeners is a celebration of knowledge, spirituality and good example.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It deserves a solemn celebration \u2013 not formally, but meaningfully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Why do we think there is no conflict?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because a fun costume event does not take away Bulgarianness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are not celebrating someone else's history - we are celebrating childhood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
True patriotism is not in prohibitions, but in the upbringing of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 curiosity<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 respect for our culture<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 the ability to appreciate our holidays without demonizing others<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 confidence, not complexes<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The conclusion\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Halloween gave us laughter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Awakeners give us meaning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There is room in both.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There is time for both.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And children win if we, the adults, are wise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The most important celebration is always one: to celebrate childhood. We thank the leadership of the Center for Personal and Creative Development of Children of Blagoevgrad, who always stand behind us and support us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We also thank the colleagues who were with us and shared the atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Special thanks to Martin Borislavov, municipal councilor, who with a personal gesture provided a delicious treat for the children and made the holiday even more cheerful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
