A long-awaited event took place in the Youth Center-Blagoevgrad - a discussion "The Rights and Obligations of Students"”
On February 27, a discussion on the topic "Students' Rights and Obligations" was held in Hall 3 of the Youth Center. The event was organized by Municipality of Blagoevgrad in the person of Ms. Hristina Popova, Partners Bulgaria Foundation, Active Citizens Fund Bulgaria и International Council of Museums - ICOM, Municipal Youth Parliament – Blagoevgrad to Center for Personal and Creative Development of Children of Blagoevgrad. A team of students from the National Art School "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" and the Natural Sciences and Mathematics High School "Acad. Sergey Korolyov" actively participated in the organization and conduct of the event, represented by Siyana Kostova and Maria Atanasova, who have undergone human rights training together with other students from Blagoevgrad. Students from the Language High School "Acad. Lyudmil Stoyanov", as well as representatives of the VII Secondary School "Kuzman Shapkarev", also took part in the discussion.
The event was supported by the presence of Ms. Daniela Kolarova, President of Partners Bulgaria Foundation and Ms. Aneta Kolcheva - Manager at the "Partners-Bulgaria" Foundation. Among the official guests who expressed their admiration and support for young people seeking solutions to the dissonance "rights-obligations" were Emilia Halilova - Director of the "Social and Housing Policy" Directorate in Blagoevgrad Municipality, Dimitar Dilovski - Head of the "Child Protection" Department at the "Social Assistance" Directorate, Lyudmila Tsiklovska - Senior Expert on the Organization of Secondary Education at the Department of Educational and Vocational Training - Blagoevgrad.
Due to the strong interest and success of the event, a second edition is planned on the topic "Students' Rights and Obligations". Expect more similar initiatives with our participation!
