Vanya Tsvetanova - teacher at the school "Think Green - Ecology" at the Central Educational Service for Children and Young People - Central Educational Service for Children and Young People, Blagoevgrad, and Ekaterina Tabutova - head of the school "English Language" at the Central Educational Service for Children and Young People - Central Educational Service for Children and Young People, Blagoevgrad, took part in international training under the project "Sustainable Spells - Using magic tricks and experiments to promote eco-consciousness".
The training took place from January 20 to 24, 2026 in Košice, Slovakia under the Erasmus + program. Teachers from Bulgaria, Slovakia, Slovenia, Latvia, North Macedonia, Greece, Portugal, Spain participated in the training.
The project aims to implement innovative educational approaches that combine magic tricks, scientific experiments, and game-based learning, with the aim of forming environmental awareness and sustainable thinking in children.
During the training, the participants exchanged good practices with colleagues from different countries, mastered new methods of interactive teaching and were introduced to creative ideas for integrating environmental protection topics into the educational process. Emphasis was placed on experiential learning, curiosity and active participation of children.
Participation in the project contributes to the professional development of teachers and enriches the educational activities in the schools of the Center for Educational and Vocational Training - CLTRDB, creating opportunities for more attractive, modern and meaningful training in the spirit of sustainable development.
