The XXVI National Student Festival "For Our Bread..." was opened with a solemn ceremony in Blagoevgrad

At the "Narodni Buditeli" Square in Blagoevgrad, the XXVI National Student Holiday "For Our Bread..." was officially opened. The event is organized by the Center for Personal and Creative Development of Children of Blagoevgrad and brings together students from all over the country to show their knowledge, skills and attitude towards bread - the eternal symbol of life, tradition and labor.

The participants were welcomed by Ms. Bogdana Kostadinova - Director of the Center for Personal and Creative Development of Children of Blagoevgrad, who emphasized how important it is to preserve and pass on traditions, while at the same time inspiring young people for creativity and science.

Among the official guests were Mr. Metodi Baykushev - Mayor of Blagoevgrad Municipality and Mr. Stanislav Kimchev - Deputy Mayor for Culture, Sports and Tourism. They presented awards to the distinguished participants in the various areas of the competition, and the event was filled with great excitement and positive emotions.

The ceremony began with a solemn blessing of the bread by Father Andon Shavulev, after which the audience enjoyed performances by talented children from the schools of the Central Children's Center - Blagoevgrad.

A special emphasis in the program was:

• Culinary presentation by chef Todor Pandokhov, who showed an unconventional interpretation of banitsa and wild sea bass baked in salt

• Demonstrations by chemistry students of the Southwestern University "Neofit Rilski", who impressed with experiments

The celebration continues tomorrow - April 17, with a rich stage for creativity: songs, dances, dramatizations, fashion shows, exhibitions, rituals and final awards for participants in the sections "Models", "Fashion and Design" and "Stage presentation of customs related to bread", "Songs" and "Dances".
