Record interest in the recital competition for the Day of the Awakeners in Blagoevgrad
Today, the eighth edition of the recital competition on the occasion of November 1 - the Day of the People's Awakeners, organized by the Center for Personal and Creative Development of Children of Blagoevgrad and the Municipal Youth Parliament, was held in the "September 22" hall.
As part of the School of Journalism and Media Performance, I had the honor to attend and follow the event, which was attended by a record number of students – over 90 students from grades 5 to 12 from different schools. The hall was filled with emotion, excitement and pride. Everyone recited Bulgarian poetry with great inspiration.
The jury included Lyubima Dimitrova, Kiril Kirilov, and my journalism teacher Magdalina Domozetska, who shared that it was a true joy for her to see such a strong love for the word and the Bulgarian spirit.
Among the official guests who honored the event and participated in the award ceremony were the Chairperson of the Blagoevgrad Municipal Council - Antoaneta Bogdanova, the Deputy Mayor for Education, Business Development, Social and Health Policy - Boryana Shalyavska, the Deputy Mayor for Culture, Sports and Tourism - Stanislav Kimchev and the Secretary of the Blagoevgrad Municipality - Desislava Kehayova.
The Director of the Center, Bogdana Kostadinova, and the Deputy Director, Dr. Alexandra Kovacheva, were present in person and encouraged the participants throughout.
All the young reciters received certificates and thunderous applause. The strongest performances were awarded prizes, but the real victory was the love for Bulgaria that we felt in each poem.
