A meeting-discussion was held at the Center for Personal and Creative Development of Children in Blagoevgrad, within the framework of the European project "Digital Youth Activity: Rights-Sensitive, Open, Accessible and Democratic".
The initiative is part of a series of national meetings in Bulgaria, Portugal, Spain, Germany and Austria, which aim to take into account the opinions of young people, educational specialists and representatives of institutions in order to discuss and formulate specific recommendations for national and European policies in the field of digitalization and youth work.
During the meeting, young people discussed the topics of:
• The impact of digitalization on the participation, rights and identity of young people;
• The role of education and youth work in building a critical and responsible digital culture;
• The necessary policies to ensure access, security,
equality and sustainability;
• The participation of young people as co-authors of solutions, not just as their users.
The participants in the discussion identified challenges and perspectives related to digitalization, democracy and youth participation and formulated solutions and recommendations based on the real experience of young people and specialists.
