„"Marta Fest" united the children of Blagoevgrad around one of the most Bulgarian traditions - the making of martenitsa. The finale of the initiative took place today, with the space between the Youth Center and the Regional History Museum - Blagoevgrad turning into a colorful and inspiring stage.
The festive program included performances by the children from the Biseri Youth Group, Pirinska Kitka Youth Group and the presenters from the Public Appearances Children's Studio, who greeted all the guests and participants in the event. With songs, dances and great spirits, the little talents created a true celebration of the Bulgarian spirit.
The culmination of the initiative was the arrangement of a common installation of the made martenitsa. The colorful composition decorated the entire alley of the Varosha district, as well as the space in front of Center for Personal and Creative Development of Children of Blagoevgrad, turning the area into a symbol of spring, tradition and children's creativity.
The event is realized with the financial support of the European Union through the NextGenerationEU instrument under the project "A New Generation of Local Cultural Policy for Blagoevgrad Municipality“" dated 29.10.2025, contract No. BG-RRP-11.021-0017-C01, under the Grant Scheme "New Generation of Local Cultural Policies for Large Municipalities", BG-RRP-11.021.
