On June 5 and 6, 2026, the VI International Children's Folklore Festival "Colorful Flower" was held in Blagoevgrad.
Over 1000 children and students performed on stage at Macedonia Square, presenting the wealth of Bulgarian and international folklore through music, songs and dances. The festival program began on June 5 at 09:30 with the participation of kindergartens.
At 5:30 p.m., the traditional festival procession took place, which started from the Youth Center, and at 6:00 p.m., the official opening of the VI International Children's Folklore Festival "Colorful Flower" took place, followed by a festival program.
On June 6, the festival continued with the program starting at 09:30, and the evening program began at 18:00.
Children from Bulgaria, the Republic of North Macedonia, the Republic of Greece and the USA participated in the festival, presenting the wealth of folklore traditions.
The event is organized by the Center for Personal and Creative Development of Children of Blagoevgrad with the assistance of the Municipality of Blagoevgrad.
