CPRL - Center for Personal and Creative Development of Children of Blagoevgrad won the project "New Opportunities - STEM /STEM/ CABINET" under the National Program of the Ministry of Education and Science "Ensuring a modern, safe and accessible educational environment", Module 2 "Support for children and students for work in CPRL under Art. 49, para. 1, items 1 and 2, para. 3, performing activities in career guidance and counseling, and para. 4 of the ZPUO and in the NDD".

The objectives of the project are:

  1. Creation of a STEM office;
  2. Ensuring equal access to education and increased quality of the educational process for children, students, teachers, guests and guest lecturers of the Center for Early Childhood Development - CLTRDB;
  3. Providing conditions for the development of the interests, abilities and competencies of children and students;
  4. Motivating teachers, students and parents to create new offices and a desire for upgrades and new collaborations;
  5. Providing conditions for personal development of children and students through an equipped and furnished STEM classroom;
  6. Providing opportunities for upgrading and collaboration through the provision of conditions for inclusion in online events /lessons, competitions, public appearances, etc./;
  7. Creating conditions for interaction between CPRs, implementing career guidance and counseling activities, and schools when working with students for their career guidance.

The STEM office built under the project will cover 15 schools from the Central Educational Service for the Development of the Republic of Bulgaria - Central Educational Service for the Development of the Republic of Bulgaria, 93 groups with a total number of 1015 children and students /as well as their teachers and parents/, including children and students from career guidance classes on the territory of Blagoevgrad and Blagoevgrad region. The total number of students who will use the room equipped under the project for career guidance and consulting activities is 280. The classes will be held within 7 months, 2 classes per month. When conducting career guidance consultations, the STEM center will provide an opportunity for a real /online/ look at the path from filling out personal documents /CV, declarations, application documents .../, through an overview and virtual tour of schools, colleges and universities, to getting acquainted with the professions in a real /video clips and direct online inclusions/ work environment. Students will have a look not only at the theory of the desired profession, but also the opportunity to gain insight into the real nature of the work process. The project will be implemented in the period 2024 – 2025 academic year. The total cost is 18,979.68 BGN.
