Traditionally, the Feast began with the blessing of bread by His Eminence Metropolitan Seraphim of Nevrokop and priests from the Church of the Presentation of the Virgin.
The official XXV edition was opened by the deputy mayors of Blagoevgrad Municipality, Mrs. Boryana Shalyavska and Mr. Stanislav Kimchev, as well as Mrs. Bogdana Kostadinova, director of the Center for Personal and Creative Development of Children of Blagoevgrad.
Among The guest was Maya Damyankina, the "mother" of the NUP "For Our Bread...", with whose support it was created back in 1998. She received a plaque for contribution to the development of the Holiday, a certificate and flowers from the Mayor of Blagoevgrad Municipality - Mr. Metodi Baykushev.
Among the official guests were Simona Mitova /Director of the Education Directorate/, Prof. Dr. Nikolay Marin /Rector of the South-West University "Neofit Rilski"/, Prof. Emil Kukov /South-West University "Neofit Rilski"/, Aneta Stoyanova /Expert in Educational and Vocational Training-Blagoevgrad/, Iliana Kadurina /Education Trade Union at the Podkrepa Trade Union/, Emanuil Manolov /SBU at the Confederation of Bulgarian Trade Unions/ and others.
This year, a surprise was the demonstration by the master chefs from Blagoevgrad, Todor and Ivan, who kneaded delicious bread in front of the audience.
We would like to remind you that the competitions continue for the next two days. Tomorrow we expect the participants in the "Songs", "Dances" and "Models" sections to take to the stage.
